It must be a strange sense of being a wanderer in an unstable world, like Christopher Columbus landing on a sandy beach having really thought he’d fall off the face of the earth.

Janus is the Roman god depicted with two heads facing different directions; one towards the future and one towards the past. He is the god of beginnings and transitions; of war, of peace, of change and time.
Janus will be a sculpture composed of two hinged rectangular mirrors facing one another in an slight ‘V’ formation. It will be installed in the surf just off land’s end at Cape Horn, Tierra del Fuego, Chile.
