In the photographic series, The Family Album I am after the decisive event. In recreating photographically events in my own family history I am drawn to the moments and events where everything changed for those involved, events where there became a clear delineation between before and after. True, marriage and procreation are life changing but often it seems that unexpected events, the one’s which we are not prepared for; this is where the demarcation of before and after is most striking. In this series I have attempted to fulfill a desire to revive and re-animate the forgotten and the missed.
