I am thrilled to announce that my project proposal to create a new artwork(s) in the Arctic Circle has been accepted. I will be joining a group of fellow artists and scientists on the October 2015 expedition, living and working “aboard a Barquentine Tall Ship while sailing the waters of the international territory of Svalbard, an Arctic archipelago just 10 degrees latitude from the north pole.” I am very, very excited and grateful to the judging committee for allowing me such a unique opportunity to realize my piece.
